Sound Education and Service to Mankind
O’O’ sound Education and Service to mankind I pledge to Olumawu Basic Education School To be law abiding, sincere and hardworking To be of great service to God and Humanity And to be a worthy Ambassador of the School So help me God.

The great legacy passed on to us through our founder, Chief Mrs. Margaret Oloruntomiwo Audu, a renowned and quintessential educationist, and sustained and surpassed by our Governing Council has been our driving force and forte. Established in the year 1993, Olumawu School was in memory of our founder’s mother, Princess Olumawu, daughter of His Royal Majesty, Oba Gbayero Ajibohokun, Obaro of Kabba (1820 – 1923). All through our founder’s education at the University of Southampton, Portsmouth; University of London; and the University of Wisconsin, Madison, her mother, Princess Olumawu was the inspiration. Thus, her resolve to extend the frontiers of learning, not just for the girl-child, but for every child. Education for her was the sine qua non not only of human development but also of national development.
